Are you itching to earn that little extra spending dough? The possibilities are endless, especially with Print-On-Demand!

According to Sarah Berger, of the 86% who say they earn extra money from a side hustle every month, 36% are making $500 or more.

That is additional income to have fun, pay off debt, and double savings. For many millennials side project is an outlet to pursue a passion, whether it is to pay off credit card debt or establish new connections. Choose something that you enjoy or something you want to learn in the future.

Work Smarter Not Harder

As a side hustler, your time is limited. You cannot just abandon your current employer to pursue your side hustle. You commit to both.

Schedule every waking minute of your day to achieve success. Everyone is given the same amount of hours in a day. Plan it all out accordingly.

According to Bryan Tracy, it takes only about 10 to 12 minutes for us to plan out a day. This small investment of time will save you up to two hours in wasted time and diffused effort throughout the day.

Plan strategically. Instead of taking the full hour for lunch, you use half of your lunch break to better your side business.

Weekends are crucial for success. On Sunday, sit down and plan out your week to ensure a productive week ahead.

According to Stanford University, a study has found that employee productivity significantly declines once an individual reached the 50-hour mark in a given workweek.

Burnout is real, and it’s not to be taken lightly. A side hustle is a long-term haul, give yourself time to start seeing results. Take just 90 minutes a day to get you started on the right path of achieving your goals.

Focus

When you have a plan in place, now it’s time to execute. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to block out social media distractions to get things done.

There are many tools to help you focus on one task at a time. One of my favorite tools is an app – Forest. How does it work? Choose to focus on one task for a period of time. During your designated focus time, a seed gradually grows to a tree. If you leave the app before your designated time is over, your trees begin to die.

Forest is an interactive app to keep you in check with family and friends. What’s cool about this app, Forest partners up with tree-planting organizations to plant trees in real life. You can download Forest either on the App Store or Google Play for $1.99.

Goals

One of the ways to stay on track with your personal or professional goal settings is to use the S.M.A.R.T  goal setting method. When you set goals, they should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely.

Specific

Your goals should be precise, not vague.

When crafting your goals, the first step is to answer the five “W” questions to achieve the maximum efficiency in your business.

What do I want to accomplish?

“I want to make an additional income by building my e-commerce business.”

Why is this goal important?

“I want to be debt-free.”

Who is involved?

“Myself, Designer & Dropshipper”

Where is it located?

“Online & Fulfillment Center”

Which resources & obstacles involved?

“I know a Graphic Designer but have no income to pay the Graphic Designer.”

Measurable

How can you measure our progress?

“ Social Media Metrics.”

What metrics can you use to see if you are meeting your goals?

“T-Shirt Profits.”

Attainable

Your goal should challenge you but remain doable.

Is this a realistic goal?

“Yes, it is.”

What are your financial constraints?

“I don’t have enough capital.”

That’s where CustomCat comes in. We eliminate costly set-up that ensures anyone can start selling authentic brand names to the world.

What are your obstacles?

“Time.”

Relevant

Will your goal be worthwhile?

“I want to immerse myself in the e-commerce world.”

Does your goal support who you are and where you want to go?

“Go from side hustle gig to full-time entrepreneurship.”

Timely

Consider setting short-term goals and long-term goals. Don’t spread yourself too thin. The long-term goals (6 months – 12 months) can seem far from the reach, which can lead to discouragement.

The best way is to set a 90-day goal setting to keep you accountable and on track to your end goal.

Final Thoughts

Keep your head high and follow through your goals to become a financially independent entrepreneur. What tools are you using to pursue your dreams?
