Facebook has changed quite a bit since the very beginning and Facebook Trends continue to change along with it! Here are 10 tactics that you can try today to increase your Facebook Page engagement while using a small fraction of your time to boost your engagement numbers.

1. Less is More 


Posting less will allow you to focus on quality instead of quantity. As a small business entrepreneur, I am sure you are hustling hard every day struggling to find enough time to maintain your social media presence. One to two posts a day will do the trick, don’t feel obligated to compete (in a number of posts) with well-known brands who most likely have their own team of social media experts to post content. One to two posts will force you to post only the best content due to the limited space. 2. Curate Content

Content creation will help you become known as the leader in the industry while adding your own thoughts and comments about the particular topic. Add your own insights to enhance the value of the content for your audience. By adding your two cents of your opinion or knowledge you are ultimately branding your business.

3. Boosted Posts 

You can’t go wrong with boosting your already performing posts or the posts that are not necessarily performing to their best abilities. Boosting your posts will keep your budget on the low while reaching a larger audience with little to no extra time spent on content creation.

4. Prime Time Posting

We’ve all heard it, there are times you should and shouldn’t post on certain social media platforms. Post when your followers are most active to increase your engagement. This will require a little bit of digging and analyzing your best performing posts to find what works the best for your business.

The best times to post on Facebook for consumer goods brands are Thursday at 2 p.m. and Friday at 11 a.m.

Other notable high engagement times are Wednesday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday at 4 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Safe to post weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (likely for at-work online shoppers).

Weekends have the lowest engagement rates for consumer goods brands.

If you plan to post on the weekends, a good rule of thumb is to post around 10 a.m. – 11a.m. on Saturdays when the majority of the population starts waking up. On Sunday aim your posts after church hours and before people start getting ready for the work week.

5. Take Your Own Photos

People are more likely to engage with your post that is unique to your brand rather than engage with a link or a text. Many businesses rely on stock photos, take it up a notch. Show of some personality and the way you run your business. Social media can be a little deceiving sometimes, don’t be afraid to show it all – the struggles and the challenges, after all, we are all human and we all go through the same things. People will love it because they will easily be able to connect your brand because they might be going through the same thing.

6. Interact With Your Followers 

Take the time to reply to your loyal fans – the less you post the easier it will be to get personal with your audience. Once again, less is more! Show your loyal fans that you are listening to them. Copying-and-pasting a link to your recent Youtube video just won’t cut it anymore. People are busy, they have lives,  they don’t have time to click on the link and wait for the content to load. For Instagram, stories are the norm. Although Facebook stories aren’t as widely popular as Instagram, they open an opportunity to enter a non-saturated market. Unlike Instagram, it’s a  chance to stand out among others. Same as Instagram, Facebook stories expire within 24 hours, which makes them a great tool to run limited time offers.
