Importance of Deadlines

We’d like to take a moment to emphasize the importance of deadlines. Make sure to let your customers know when to place orders.

This can be done in various ways, such as social media reminders, email updates, or going Facebook live.

For your best interest, have your shipping deadlines available on your website at all times. This way customers can refer to them at any point in time. This will save you time by not having to answer the same questions over and over again.

In addition to having deadlines posted on your store, you can add a countdown feature to encourage purchases.

Halloween Shipping Deadlines

This year Halloween falls on a Thursday. People with responsibilities may likely want to celebrate on the Friday and Saturday beforehand (October 25th – 26th).

College students will most likely stick to the actual date, giving the fact that many students don’t have classes scheduled on Friday. If they do, they are usually later in the day.

Children tend to trick-or-treat on the actual day, however, they won’t be out late because it’s a school night.

To keep your customers satisfied, make sure to keep the following Halloween cutoff dates in mind.

Buyers need to place their order(s) by the specified date to receive their item in time.

Orders must be placed by 10:30 AM EST on deadline dates.

Things To Know

Last Minute Changes/Cancellations

The holiday season can be chaotic, so during the home stretch we won’t have any wiggle room to handle last-minute changes or cancellations.

Large Orders

Additionally, December is ultimately a hectic time for all Print on Demand providers. We recommend to let your buyers know that large orders (10 or more products) may encounter delays during peak times (December 1-15).

Let your customers know well in advance (mid-November) so that they can plan ahead.

Production Times

Generally, production averages 2-3 business days. Due to spikes in volume during the holidays, always allow extra lead time. Orders will be processed as quickly as humanly possible. You’ll be notified as soon as the item is shipped.

Shipping Times

Usually it takes 1-6 business days, but please consider other factors that can impact shipping times (severe weather conditions, delayed flights, increased volumes, and other external issues).

Make sure that your buyers are well aware of expedited shipping options in advance. Once the order is placed there is no opportunity to upgrade shipping.

For international, CustomCat offers one shipping method. No expedited methods are available at this moment. Ship time ranges from 1-2 weeks depending on proximity to Detroit, MI.

Do not include messages like “guaranteed delivery in time for holidays” as this may confuse buyers in case it contradicts our on-site messaging.

Here’s a link for all the shipping information you’ll ever need. Utilize this guide to add proper expedited shipping methods within your Shopify or Woo carts.
